[Feature request] Auto-save every X minutes

I would like to request a simple function that most other editors offer out of the box. The option to automatically save any open documents every X minutes. The "session snapshot" feature is more useful in retaining any open windows than saving any changes since the user needs to remember to save manually save the file.
