bug: Choppy Linux Desktop Appimage

Bug Description / Steps to Reproduce

Insatlled the v2.4.1 of Linux Desktop Appimage, but the desktop interface is laggy and choppy. I browsed through the logs and only error like thing I could find was 2024-11-26 14:25:09 |ERR| torrentstream > could not fetch AniDB media error="not found on AniZip", which I'm sure is not related to this problem. But the WEB-UI version in Latest Floorp when launched from Desktop App is smooth.

System Environment:
CachyOS, KDE Plasma 6 Wayland, Floorp Browser ( Firefox and Chromium browsers not installed in system ),

Expected Behavior

The Desktop UI to be smooth like Web UI

Other applications have the same issue on Linux tauri-apps/tauri#5143.
Looks like setting WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 fixed it for some, you can try it and report back.

The above setting did not fix the issue. I looked through a few open issues in tauri, and it seems webkitGTK and Linux do not play well together, and there's some plan to drop webkitGTK altogether. Web-UI is more than enough for my use case, actually I prefer that because I can use Tridactyl to navigate :)
