Currently the gcom4 package build at version 4.5 does not support building with gcc. Looking at the Share directory in the dev branch of the GCOM source repository, one sees:
gcc
[pcl851@gadi-login-02 Share]$ ls -d *_access_config gcom4.5_access_config gcom4.6_access_config gcom4.7_access_config gcom4.8_access_config [pcl851@gadi-login-02 Share]$ ls *_access_config/fcm-make/machines/nci_gfortran* gcom4.7_access_config/fcm-make/machines/nci_gfortran_openmpi.cfg gcom4.8_access_config/fcm-make/machines/nci_gfortran_openmpi.cfg
So versions 4.7 and 4.8 support the gcc Fortran compiler, but versions 4.5 and 4.6 do not.
So, should the gcom4 package also support versions 4.6 to 4.8, and should support for gcc be added in the case of versions 4.7 and 4.8?
