Feb 1st 2015
------------
These are the things done till now (starting from the mod.cba.mit.edu version)
- Integrated require.js dependency tracking, now all files declare their dependencies at the beginning and use them via requires
- Integrated handlebars for managing html templates (also loaded via the dependency tracking mechanism)
As a consequence to the two modules, I also refactored a bit the code:
- Removed (most-of) global namespace pollution, all modules now work inside closures. The vars before declared inside document.mod var are now shared using the
mod_globals module.
- Removed all inline (i.e. "onevent") event handlers, this is better for the templating system
- Adjusted the mod_add_process and mod_edit_process to work with the dynamic module loading, synthax is unchanged
This is a list of possible next steps in random order:
- Add support for the SRM-20 (we should figure out the right scale for it)
- Add a build process allowed by require.js optimizer, this could compile all the modules / templates in a single gzipped minified javascript. Also the optimizer could bring some performance improvement.
- Move to external CSS most of the styling, it would be great to have a prettier and responsive GUI
- Add the possibility to stop the worker process when processing takes to long
- Block the gui during the worker process operation
- Add inline help system
- Handle non-binary STL
- Check uploaded file extensions
- Handle upload progress
