Thumbnail issues

Referencing issue #609 (as well as #22 in BYU-ARCLITE/ayamel.js), the ability to create a thumbnail based on the current location in a video was not working for videos that weren't uploaded to ayamel (youtube, brightcove, etc.). However, recently I have been getting the same error for files that were directly uploaded to ayamel as well.

This might be a justification to remove the feature completely, at least until we can find an alternative.
