Contributing to Formula One

Thank you for considering contributing to Formula One! We welcome contributions of all kinds, including code, writing, and teaching.

How to contribute

To contribute to this project, follow these steps:

  • Open the project in Codespaces
  • Create a new branch for your changes.
  • Make your changes and commit them to your branch.
  • Push your branch to your fork on GitHub.
  • Open a pull request to merge your changes into the main branch.

Once your pull request is opened, it will be reviewed by one of our team members. If it is approved, it will be merged into the main branch.

Teaching with Formula One

Formula One is not just a guide for students, but also an opportunity for anyone to share their knowledge and experience with others. If you would like to contribute to the book by teaching a lesson or creating an exercise, please follow these steps:

  • Open an issue on the GitHub repository to propose your lesson or exercise.
  • Include a detailed description of the topic you want to teach, as well as any materials you will use (e.g. code samples, diagrams, etc.).
  • Once your proposal is approved, you can begin working on your lesson or exercise.
  • Submit a pull request to merge your changes into the main branch.

We are always looking for new and interesting ways to teach programming, so we welcome your ideas and contributions!
