Outline: first draft:

  • short recap of cdsprint 2 (brand map, principles)
  • goal for cdsprint2: explore if we need subbrands, and if yes, what is a subbrand and how to they look like?
  • approach: trying to show status quo, research on different perspectives on the organisation structure concerning the EMBL brand
  • idea: based on the brand map from cdsprint1: what and why is more important than where: remove geographical detail on the first level of the DLS
  • the new subbrand-navigation-map (inside, outside, rational, emotional: user-centric, engagement path, analysis tool)
  • we define and analyse some user stories
  • with these insights, we pressure test the system on web-navigation, brochure, poster, businesscard
  • based on these prototypes we showcase font, imagery, logo positioning and the look and feel if we combine all these three parts together.
  • outlook for cdsprint3. December 2017 or January 2018: revision of DLS after feedback, hopefully based on more real data/research. Refine the DLS.
