Code of Conduct for GlobeHoppin Backend

Our Pledge

To foster an open and welcoming environment, we, the contributors and maintainers, pledge to ensure that participation in our project and community is a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Positive Behavior

Examples of behavior that contribute to a positive community environment include:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward others.
  • Respecting differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences.
  • Giving and graciously accepting constructive feedback.
  • Taking responsibility for mistakes and learning from them.
  • Focusing on the community's well-being rather than just individual interests.

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • Use of sexualized language or imagery, and unwanted sexual attention.
  • Trolling, insulting, derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
  • Public or private harassment.
  • Publishing others' private information (e.g., addresses) without explicit permission.
  • Conduct that could be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior. They will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to instances of unacceptable behavior. Maintainers have the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct. They may also temporarily or permanently ban contributors for behaviors deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces and when an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces. Examples of representation include using an official email address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at events.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the community leaders responsible for enforcement at [[email protected]]. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. Community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter.
