the files for https://github.com/J-Moravec/BGNRRG/blob/master/training.md and https://github.com/J-Moravec/BGNRRG/blob/master/making_of.md don't seem to have been checked in. Was this intentional?

Thanks for gold. It was kind of unintentionally forgotten: "I will do it when I have more time" kind of thing. I need to finish it, namely the step for training tesseract.
