Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I'd like to see both, workspace numbers and the window icons at the same time (else there is no way to know which workspace the windows are on if I hide unoccupied ones). Also, the current configuration options are confusing.
Describe the solution you'd like
Show both, for example as 1: <Icons>. Or let the user provide a pattern of <Workspace Number>, <Workspace Icon>, <Window Icons>
Precisely:
Remove "Show Workspace Numbers" and "Map Workspaces To Icons"
Provide new setting "Show Workspace as" with options "Static Icons, Dynamic Icons, Number", where Icons is the current "Show Workspace Icons" and "Dynamic Icons" is "Map Workspaces to Icons"
Rename "Map Workspaces to Application Icons" to "Show Client Icons" and provide the options: "No", "Yes", "Only".
Describe alternatives you've considered
A user defined format specifier.
I am open for discussion of more intuitive settings :)
Additional context
Currently there is "Workspace Icons" and "Map Workspaces to Icons" which is confusing.
