  • Investigate this calculation and its use for the auto contact length scale.
  • Testing has shown self-contact among faces on opposite sides of thin structures that randomly appears in a simulation at isolated face-pairs
  • Need to harden this calculation for use with high-order elements and LOR; warped elements may have a small thickness, but if that thickness is calculated at a 'thicker' part of the element, then self contact across a single volume element may be an issue.
