Hi, I should preface with the fact that I'm using Antonio Villena's DB9 SNAC (which allows two inputs), so I can't say for sure if this would happen on the USB-style SNAC port that only allows a single player, but I can tell you:
The 8bitdo m30 2.4ghz works correctly over SNAC with the genesis core
I've verified the sn30 controllers work correctly with a super nt
I've verified the SNAC ports do work correctly with original SNES controllers
I switched his decapod to USB mode and used the same controllers in the same ports successfully with the core
What happens is the first player is completely messed up, the B button works, but to trigger the A button I need to press A+X, the d-pad doesn't work but you can press right with A+Right or left with A+X+Left. The second player works, but seems to miss inputs. I was talking to Antonio about it because I initially assumed it was his device, and he guessed it might be that the timings with the controller are more aggressive than regular controllers and the core doesn't expect it.
I'm not really sure how to provide good data to debug with, and I also realize this might be too much of an edge case to worry about, but if you were interested in trying to get 8bitdo wireless snes controllers working over SNAC and had a way for me to get some test data put together, let me know and I'd be happy to help.
Either way, thanks to everyone involved in making and maintaining this core! :)
