Add "LICENSE.md" file #4
Comments
I added a license, which matches the current license at OWASP. |
I am not sure how this will be reflected since http://choosealicense.com/licenses/ doesn't not appear to support Creative Commons licensing yet (i.e. I also searched the @github blog for a reference for CC too). I'll close this off and but we should monitor this issue ongoing? |
I do not feel at liberty to re-license Dave's work, after all it is his project. ;-) Funny enough http://choosealicense.com/licenses/ is itself licensed under CC-BY! I did a search of the github for CC-BY-SA and got over 33k hits in various source files among the various repositories. So clearly other people are using this license, including Github... however, I think a periodic monitoring is in order as well. |
In addition to @davewichers others have contributed to the OWASP Top Ten to[uché] :) But I was referring to all the other repositories (excluding Top-Ten) within the @OWASP organization. I have created Pull Request for these other repositories e.g. OWASP/EJSF#1, OWASP/railsgoat#38, etc instead rather than burdening @dennisgroves with these amendments [as the organization owner]. |
@dennisgroves, I sampled some of the OWASP repositories and issued pull requests around this topic which have been merged by the respective OWASP Project Leaders as documented below (since I am not a member of the other @OWASP teams):
I might be able to automate a future audit on behalf of @SamanthaGroves of the presence of a LICENSE.md file leveraging the @github API? Also, should we create a @github related mailing list on lists.owasp.org and move this thread there? |
