Streamline Ticket Status and Enhance Ticket Management Page #774

Upon closer study it seems that there are actually just 3 true statuses at the moment: Open Though there are multiple selections possible (see image above) most of the options just provide the selected comment and move the ticket to closed status. Therefore, this request is actually a request for an additional status and a renaming of the current status identities. "Open" > "Close - Not enough information" are flagged as status Unresolved |

As a developer I would like to see a more concise set of options to identify a ticket's status.
The available options would be:
New
//this is the temporary status of a ticket when it is first created before a reviewed status is assigned
Resolved (leave a brief description of the fix; ex: updated/corrected logic, updated description)
Unresolved (leave a description of steps you've taken to try to resolve or identify the issue)
Withdrawn (leave a description of why no fix was needed; ex: unsupported ROM or emulator, network issue, mistaken report)
Current:
I propose we eliminate the "demote achievement to unofficial" option as this is not a ticket status but rather an achievement action that can easily be taken after a status is assigned.
For the purpose of consolidating the existing tickets:
New
Resolved
Unresolved
Withdrawn
The "Ticket Manager" interface should have a filter for each of the four statuses as well as filtering for the two main ticket types; false trigger and failed to trigger.
@televandalist also recommends an additional column for "resolved by" which could also be leveraged as a developer stat to encourage ticket fixing. #250
Current:
The aim of these changes is to encourage the review and subsequent categorization of outstanding
New
("Open") tickets. With the ultimate goal being a more simplified user friendly system that encourages ticket resolution. This is just an initial draft and I expect/welcome input from all interested parties so we can hone in on an updated scheme that we all can agree on.
