Starting discussion on topics and volunteers for our WFH "Sprint", so this is a general collation of information on the data model. Of course, please add additional information that you have!

What's the goal of this work?

  • To have a working and documented C++ Data Model for SuperNEMO from the DAQ ("online") level to that used as input to Falaise ("offline")
  • To have a working and documented data processing pipeline from "online" output to "offline" input

What are the inputs/starting point to this work?

Ideas for Initial Tasks

  • Split out latest data model code from IN2P3 gitlab to this repository.
  • Unify the documentation on the existing data model and proposed workflow in this repository (code and documentation in one place)
  • Set up unit and integration tests (GitHub Actions)
  • Clean and modernize existing code.
  • Document/describe the EventBuilder step

Another task, if Boost.Serialization continues to be used is documentation on this and especially handling Schema Evolution. There is an outstanding ticket on Bayeux on this at the core level: BxCppDev/Bayeux#48
