Prevent rich tables from expanding to full width when using rich objects

When rich tables are filled with strings, it smartly adjusts the width to be the minimum needed to contain the elements.

It seems that as soon as you add some rich objects—such as rich.markdown.Markdown—the table no longer has the automatic adjustement. Instead becomes as wide as possible, even when not needed.

Is there a simple way to keep the minimum width from above while using other Rich objects in the table?
