Launching via the Generated Shortcut Breaks Fetching Downloads

Describe the bug
If you were to create a desktop file using the "Create Desktop file" button, the program will struggle to make a connection with the outside world.

Running the app from source/main.py works properly and frozen executables work properly.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. In settings, press the Create Desktop file.
2. Close BLV2
3. Launch BLV2 from the app launcher
4. Fetching downloads may fail
