Currently, overrepresentation analysis (significant versus non-signficant counts table) and GSEA (ranked statistics) are available. It would be desirable to have an intermediate, which doesn't consider magnitude but does consider direction of change, such as the sign test.
Other test statistics, such as the sign test can also be easily accommodated within the GSEA framework.
