Github pull request and beyond should be described @muhammerelek had volunteered to prepare a manual. The instructions can be uploaded Wiki page of this repo.

this link is a good start. But students are confused regarding steps right after pull request.

This link describes how to update student's fork with original repo (and there's a short video and a longer video that might be better to understand). Looks like "switch base" is the only solution and that's an ugly and not-straight-forward solution..

But, best option for students would be:

  • Fork the repo
  • Make changes
  • Pull Request
  • Then delete your branch
  • Next time you want to make another change, fork repo again

Also, @bestebayar had volunteered to compile information for other students to easily do changes and pull requests.
