Getting GPL-GPS Software

All of the GPL-GPS specific source code is stored in a versioned code repository on the PSAS server called 'subversion'. Note that this GPL-GPS code only; all of the eCos source code (besides some configuration files) must be [[downloaded with CVS|GpsSoftware]].

You can access GPL-GPS software in one of two ways:

1. Browsing the Source using the Web

If you just want to poke around the code, use the subversion web interface. Don't use the web interface to download the files, of course... use subversion for that.

2. Using subversion ("svn")

First, get subversion. It's available for Linux (apt-get install subversion in Debian) and Windows (the CygWin 'subversion' package). Then check out the code:

svn co http://svn.psas.pdx.edu/svn/psas/trunk/gps

The code will be checked out into a "gps" directory. You're ready to go! If you ever want to update to the latest GPL-GPS code, in the GPS directory just type:

svn update

For more information on subversion and access to our repository, see http://psas.pdx.edu/AvionicsSVNAccess/. Note that if you want to develop for GPL-GPS, you'll need write access to the repository: contact me (andrew-at-psas.pdx.edu) and we'll go from there.
