This release updates the repackaged OpenTelemetry Java Agent to 0.12.1. This also means, if you use the OpenTelemetry API in your application, you need to update it to 0.12.0.

There are no other changes to the distribution.

This release updates the repackaged OpenTelemetry Java Agent to 0.10.1. This also means, if you use the OpenTelemetry API in your application, you need to update it to 0.10.0.

📈 Improvements

  • PropertySource is now used to configure the default remote propagators instead of overriding the system property at runtime. This ensures that if an environment variable or config file configuring propagators is set, it is respected.

Welcome to the public preview for AWS OpenTelemetry Java Auto Instrumentation Agent. This version tracks version 0.9.0 of the upstream OpenTelemetry Java Auto Instrumentation Agent. Check out the Getting Started docs to learn how to use the agent and let us know if you run into any issues. This agent is the same as upstream but comes preconfigured to generate AWS X-Ray compatible trace IDs and enables AWS Trace Header propagation format.
