I often find myself importing multi-disc albums that have been split into one directory per disc, with a "CD1", "1/nn", "[1/2]" etc postfix in the album's title.
When I import them, beets is often very confused about the missing tracks (which I adjusted in the matcher settings, which helps).
But even once I selected the right album, it will then for every added disc go through the "Skip/Remove old/Merge" dance - which I think is both slow and errorprone (so far, I've managed to delete discs by accident, I think!).
Since I get only a very very terse list of what's already in the library, noting whether this is a incremental completion event or a true duplicate isn't always easy. (I can look that up in parallel, obviously, but it'd be nice if beets detected the "more discs of an incomplete album are incoming" automatically.)
Further, these multi-discs albums are often in the databases multiple times in slightly different editions, and if I then accidentally pick a different resolution, the metadata doesn't perfectly align. It'd be nice if there was some way to give additional weight to a proposed match for one I selected previously.

Hi all,
