Two feature requests:
Prompt to join
Is it possible to require the recipient callers to press a number (dial one to join) or dial a secret pin to join when they receive the incoming call?
This would serve two purposes, 1, requiring a pin would give another level of security and confidentiality, secondly if the don't answer their voicemail won't be joined to the conference.
external callers to same conference
This would seek to allow both the outbound list as well as any external caller (see below) to dial in to reach the same conference.
Background of our needs
A group of camp directors in a remote area are working together to manage emergencies as they arise, they have a need to be able to jump on a conference call in emergency situations.
The situation would not allow them the freedom to alert everyone to call in to the conference room, rather the proposed solution would be where there’s an emergency number, let’s say 212-911-9111, when any of the directors dial that number (can add a whitelist or pin for security) the following happens:
He’s automatically joined to a conference
The other camp directors now receive an incoming call
When they answer they are greeted with something like “Emergency conference in effect press 1 to join or dial pin to join”
By dialing the requested prompts they are immediately joined to the conference
if they don’t answer the call a certain number of retries can be set.
IF they missed the call, they could call back at any time to join (assuming DID route set specifically for this purpose)
