💡 Summary

Move to version 4 of the Terraform AWS provider.

Motivation and context

We will get left behind if we don't move to the newest version.

Implementation notes

Note that version 4 of the Terraform AWS provider completely redoes the way S3 buckets are configured.

Acceptance criteria

How do we know when this work is done?

  • All repos that contain Terraform code are using version 4 of the AWS provider.
  • All repos that contain Terraform code can still be deployed without recreating resources.
