Hello,
We have this case where the customer created one resource location for xx.forest.com and did not understand that he would need another resource location for yy.forest.com. He could have created one RL for forest.com, but he thought because the two domains were child of forest.com that everything should work. We have this response from our query from engineering: If the trust relationship between two domains is anything other than parent-child, then a resource location is required for each domain.
I would like to improve the documentation by adding this sentence:
If there is any type of trust other than Parent/Child, you will need a resource location and cloud connectors for each domain or forest.
To the end of this paragraph, like this:
If you have a single domain in a single forest, installing Cloud Connectors in that domain is all you need to establish a resource location. If you have multiple domains in your environment, you must consider where to install the Cloud Connectors so your users can access the resources you make available. If there is any type of trust other than Parent/Child, you will need a resource location and cloud connectors for each domain or forest.
