Any intention on getting this work mainlined? #522
-
Let me preface by saying that this is stellar work, thank you. Currently a lot of linux CPU hwmon drivers only employ temperatures. Often stated are issues with lack of documentation for the different registers for reading out states, clocks, voltages, etc. Do you think its reasonable to attempt to get work done here mainlined by either integrating it into the different hwmon drivers or by providing a new driver for everything not covered by the existing ones? A benefit would be that the corefreq module, or whatever parts of it, would be available out of the box avoiding the need for dkms. This is a lot of work so its understandable if the answer is no. Also if it would impact the current development of the tool. |
