I saw this plugin and it seems amazing!

Something I thought would be a great addition is having an option to activate sync of new subcollections that is created in Zotero. This would better the workflow, since it would be possible to organize the files in Zotero without the hassle of remembering to add them automatically.

@mathiashavskovdk, is #63 what you're looking for? That is, would you like Notero to sync all items in your library instead of only selected collections?

It would also be great with an option to sync all items in the library, but I also thought:

I would create a Zotero collection, I enable sync in Notero settings.

Then later I create a Zotero subcollection within the one where sync is enabled, where I store other sources. Instead of me having to remember to go to Notero settings and enable sync for this new subcollection it would be great if this new subcollection was automatically selected by default. If that makes sense

Ah, yes that does make sense! Thank you for elaborating. This is a great idea. 🙂

Coming here to support this request. Here is a common use case where this will be (very) useful: if you create a Collection in Zotero solely as a way to encompass several topics (e.g., Collection = Dissertation; Subcollections = Chapter 1, Chapter 2...), your Dissertation folder in Zotero doesn't really hold any items (even if you choose the option Show items from subcollections). So what ends up happening is that you have to Sync to Notion all Chapter 1, Chapter 2... subcollection folders individually. Not a drag, but a great opportunity for a better workflow since you are now able to sync individual folders under subcollections, as well as all subcollections under collections.
