• CF conventions designed for NetCDF file format (most used for geographical data, e.g by ECMWF
  • someone at RSECon recommended we look at what ECMWF were doing
• HERMES - software-focused, some overlap with RO-Crate community already, uses CodeMeta terms which have been added to RO-Crate, links to CITATION.cff
