SSH password required for nvim-tree

So far I have installed lazy.nvim, neoconf.nvim, neodev.nvim, nightfox.nvim and whichkey.nvim. Now I wanted to install nvim-tree:

lua/plugins/file-tree.lua:

return {
    "nvim-tree/nvim-tree"
}

Now for the first time I'm being prompted for a username and password for github when lazy is trying to install nvim-tree. Why all of the sudden? Is there something special about nvim-tree?

Ok, the prompt for a github password is therefore an indicator that I've misspelled the name of the plugin.
