We use <i> tags for species names and <em> tags for project titles in (automated) descriptions, which do now not work anymore.
Can these tags also be allowed?

Thank you for contacting us.

We convert HTML into so-called DocBook when we store it in EML so we only support those tags that can be converted to DocBook and back to HTML.

It might be more appropriate to map Emphasis to EM, as the DocBook specification says it can be either italic or bold, and italic is probably more useful to us.

ForeignPhrase is probably the Docbook element that maps to HTML I, but that's not included in EML.
