Definitely a regression - something broke after update (requires bisect)

Description

since the render rewrite, this has happend lot of times on other apps(browser etc) and is especially visible on resize.
it's been a while and is not fixed so..

(btw the wayland client is https://github.com/nabil-otsmane/wayland-first-client but the bug apply to other surfaces too)

How to reproduce

1. open any apps
2. resize
