Hello to the community and thank you for welcoming me.
I hope to be in the right place and not to be mistaken
I am new here and I am not a programmer.
I am a musician with skills in analog electronics.
I have just equipped my ensoniq Mirage with a Gotek emulator.
Gotek emulator with ARM Chip
-Firmware flasfloppy v3.23
-Rotary Switch encoder
and an 0.91inch oled graphic screen installed as standard.
Everything works perfectly!
Except, I'm 50 years old and my eyes are tired on the small 0.91 inch screen.
So I wanted to replace it with a larger, more readable one.
This is why I chose a simple 2x16 characters display but in OLED technology to have a good more comfortable black background.
This 2x16 character Display integrates a native I2C interface.
But once set up, it doesn't work at all (black screen).
Here is the model:
SOC 1602F Standard OLED Display
3.3v> 5v
KS0066 controller or equivalent
i2c address: 0X79 / 0X78
I specify that I wire it perfectly and my FF.CFG is indeed in "AUTO" Display.
as in "standard" it did not work (black screen), I even tried the pull up resistance but also to feed it in 5v instead of 3v3.
But it still does not start.
** I therefore think that the firmware does not integrate the management of this type of display or,
** that there is an i2c address problem ...
**Because it seems to me that the i2c addressing of this display would be in the range 0X79 / 0X78 where can the problem be...
If you could help me to solve this problem with the display unit not working at all that would be great!
Thank you very Much,
David.
