I have been working on an adapter board to make Gotek+FlashFloppy compatible with the Media Sense IBM PS/2 range of computers (including model 76i among others). It goes in the same direction of this other discussion: #553
My interface board is able to generate the signaling expected by the Floppy drive controller using discrete logic. I have tested it with SD, HD and ED images successfully. The only limitation is that the user needs to manually change between (sd+hd) and ed modes using a toggle switch. It's not that big of a deal for me, as most of the images I use are HD. But I was thinking there may be an option to make this fully automatic to make the board useful for as many users as possible.
I wanted to ask you about the possibility of using any of the pins of the gotek to control this. I know that none of the 34 pins of the connector can be used. I was thinking about the other pins available in the board that are used in some of the hardware mods (buzzer, oled screen, etc). The idea would be to make one of these pins configurable to output 1 for SD/HD and 0 for ED images.

Hi there!
I have been working on an adapter board to make Gotek+FlashFloppy compatible with the Media Sense IBM PS/2 range of computers (including model 76i among others). It goes in the same direction of this other discussion: #553

What are your general thoughts about this?
Thanks in advance
