I'm running this patch on Proxmox 7.1.something with kernel 5.13.19. My suggestions is that after the PVE kernel is downloaded, you can skip the download of 30 GB base kernel by doing git submodule update --init --recursive --depth 1 in the pve-kernel folder.
I applied the patch manually with nano, as I was curious of the surrounding area near the places of patches. I was trying to passthrough a GPU on my HP ProLiant 580G7, now it works!!
Amazing work, absolutely take a star!
EDIT: I can't yet confirm the reliability, but in theory it all works as expected now
EDIT2: GPU has been Folding@Home for about 12 hours now, not a single crash
EDIT3: It's been 7 days of 100% GPU usage, not a single crash or issue
EDIT4: It's been 55 days running non-stop. Working wonders, still
EDIT5: It's been 430 days running non-stop. Not a single crash or issue, very reliable
