Comments
Hello there, thank you for opening an Issue ! 🙏🏻 The team was notified and they will get back to you asap. |
Thank you for reporting this issue. I can see you're having trouble
installing Swarms on Windows 11. To help diagnose and resolve this problem,
could you please provide:
1. The exact pip command you used for installation
2. Your Python version
3. The complete error message/traceback (preferably as text rather than
screenshots)
This information will help us better understand the issue and provide a
more targeted solution.
In the meantime, you might want to try:
1. Upgrading pip: python -m pip install --upgrade pip
2. Installing with pip in verbose mode: pip install swarms -v
3. Ensuring you have all required build dependencies installed
Please provide the additional information requested, and we'll work on
resolving this issue.

Based on the screenshots you've provided, I can see there are still some
issues with the installation. The error messages indicate there are
problems with missing dependencies and build failures.
Here are the specific issues I notice:
1. There seems to be an error with building wheel for tokenizers
2. There are compilation errors related to Microsoft Visual C++ 14.0 or
greater
To resolve these issues, please try the following steps:
1.
First, install Microsoft C++ Build Tools:
- Download from Microsoft C++ Build Tools
<https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/visual-cpp-build-tools/>
- During installation, make sure to select "Desktop development with
C++"
2.
After installing the build tools, run these commands in order:
python -m pip install --upgrade pip
pip install --upgrade setuptools wheel
pip install tokenizers --no-build-isolation
pip install swarms
If you still encounter issues after trying these steps, please let me know
and provide any new error messages that appear.

I see from the new screenshot that you're getting a ModuleNotFoundError for
'swarms'. This suggests that while pip completed its operation, the
installation might not have been successful.
Let's try these troubleshooting steps:
1. First, verify the installation status:
pip list | findstr swarms
2. If swarms isn't listed, try installing with the following command:
pip install -U swarms[all]
3. If that doesn't work, try installing in a fresh virtual environment:
python -m venv swarms_env
swarms_env\Scripts\activate
pip install -U pip setuptools wheel
pip install swarms[all]
Please run these commands and let me know what output you get. Also, could
you share:
1. The output of python --version
2. The output of pip --version
This will help us better understand your environment and provide more
targeted assistance.
