Current behaviour

This issue seems to happen sporadically and not all the time. What tends to happen is that I will switch from one note to another, then switch back and notice the contents of one note has been copied to the other. I am only able to get some of the contents of the original note back by restoring from "previous version". This does not happen all the time, but sporadically as far as I can tell. I am using dropbox as my sync provider. At first I thought the cause might have been the "note tab" plugin, but I disabled that and switched to the "favorites" plugin. I am seeing the same behavior.

Example:

  • Open note one in joplin

  • Contents of note one

    Note one - time date
    Contents = bla bla bla
    End of note

  • Open note two joplin

  • Contents of note two

    Note two - time date
    Contents = test test test
    End of note

  • Switch back/open note one again

  • Contents of note one will have changed to that of note two

    Note two - time date
    Contents = test test test
    End of note

Expected behaviour

Should be able to switch between joplin notes and not have them be overwritten/content replaced by other notes.

You have a lot of plugins installed, so it would be hard to tell if one of your other plugins are to blame, or if the issue is caused by a bug in Joplin.

However if you could attach the full log (zip it first) and provide a date and rough time when the issue last occurred, it may give some hints.

EDIT: Another possibility. Do you move notes from one notebook to another from time to time and often have more than one Joplin client open at a time? If so, the issue may be related to this, which seems to be triggered by both of those conditions: #11479 (comment)
