Audio issues with 6.1 and resolution issues with 7.0.0

I am trying to get pisdr setup on a Rasp Pi 4B running the 7" 800x480 touchscreen. I've installed both PiSDR version 6.1 and 7.0.

When using SDR++ on PiSDR 6.0, I hear sound, but it cuts in and out. I've read through the docs and used the audio fix https://github.com/AlexandreRouma/SDRPlusPlus/discussions/112 however that did not resolve the issue.

After that I installed 7.0.0 and can't use it because the SDR++ fills beyond the screen so I cannot do anything in the software. The only way to close it is ALT-F4.

I don't really care which version I end up using, I just want one of them to work. Any suggestions?

I believe the audio issue should be resolved in 7.0.0 because the audio dependency of Debian was updated.

Now the problem with the size of the window looks like it might be related to the move to Wayland. In this circumstance, I can't do anything because I'm just following what the official image dictates.

I connected my Pi to a regular monitor so I could actually do something with SDR++. I tested and still have audio issues.
