Add a modifier to enable home row

Hello, I am very happy with Mirioku but the home row is still a problem after several months and all friends that tried it found the home row to be a stop factor in Mirioku adoption

Is it a good idea to enable the home row modifiers by adding the additional thumb key?

Is there a possible solution where I use space/backspace + arst/neio on the same side?

Will it conflict with other combos?

If it is a working solution, how to add it?
