It might be important to note that without a license, you actually can't use the code for anything other than private use even. Without one, it is simply protected by copyright, and thus also not considered OSS.
I also noticed that this repo still does not have a LICENSE file in the root directory. I would like to suggest that you add a license to your project so it can be freely used, modified, repurposed, or shared by the open source community. You can find information on various licenses here. To choose the right license for your project, check out choosealicense.com. If you have already chosen a license, to apply this license in a way that the community can recognize, you can add a file in the root directory of your default branch named LICENSE containing your license.
Hi there! A lot of people, including myself, have made forks of this project. I wanted to see if you were open to adding a software license on this project? It would set clear boundaries for this project to be used or extended. A lot of projects on GitHub choose a license to use and here is a doc on GitHub that I've found helpful in choosing a license: https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-and-features/customizing-your-repository/licensing-a-repository
Thank you!
