Read text file, search in X source, add all matches #612

Why not just migrate while you're making the list |
Some of Mihon's endorsed forks might support some mass migration, and their backups are compatible with Mihon. |
I guess I wasn't clear enough, I don't just want mass migration, I specifically want the app to read a text file and add the manga in it, this is the main issue that's stopping me from going to mihon or it's forks, I don't want to have to manually add almost 400 entries twice (first by finding it in the source, then migrating each one individually since there isn't any mass migration) |
Yeah, that won't happen, how would you even make sure it adds them? Some sources use English titles, while others use romaji, it would be too scuff to ever be a well polished feature |
some sources have all the names in english or at least don't use symbols in their names, and for the ones that do I don't see what's stopping that from working either. I wasn't asking for it to search all sources either, just one that you can specify |
Just directly add to the source you want. Why are you adding it another source first anyway. As for the feature "Read text file, search in X source, add all matches" it won't be added |
Just noting that if you're coming from Tachiyomi and are asking this to migrate to Mihon or its forks, you can literally just use a Tachiyomi backup in Mihon 👍 |
this was a feature in tachyomi? |
Obviously no, Tachiyomi did not have mass migration. I was just mentioning that you can use Tachiyomi backups in Mihon because I thought you were a Tachiyomi user who wants to migrate to Mihon but didn't know that backups were compatible. |
Describe your suggested feature
a way to make the app read a .txt file and automatically find the manga and add it to your library in a given source would be quite useful for people trying to migrate from other sites and don't want to manually add every manga/manhwa individually and then migrate them afterwards
