Can Rhino 1.8.0 be Used in Android Apps?

I use the previous version of Rhino in an Android app:

Is there anything preventing me from using version 1.8.0 in the same way?

Rhino in interpreted mode (optimization level =-1) should be compatible with android.

Unfortunately, we have no automated tests, that runs under an android compatible JVM, so it happened from time to time, that android support is broken.

If you want to help, it would be great, if you can test 1.8.0 and give feedback.

If you (or anyone) else knows how to configure a Github workflow, that runs the tests in an android environment, we would be grateful.

Thanks -- we do the best we can, but none of the folks who regularly contribute to Rhino are Android developers and we don't have an automated test for Android. We'd really like to get some help with that!

I updated my Android app to use Rhino version 1.8.0. (https://github.com/EricTerrell/EBTCalc.Android).

I am happy to report that this latest version works great in Android. Good work, team!

Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor the expertise to set up an automated test for Android.
