Fakenews-injector potentially broken with newer versions of Atmosphere

Console OFW: Patched 4.1.0
Atmosphere: Attempted 1.4.0 and 1.4.1

Was following the Homebrew guide to setup Caffeine through Pegascape. Grabbed Recommended Defaults + PegaScape from SDsetup.
When I reached the step about injecting Fakenews I read this workaround here to skip it and come back to it due to hbmenu not working from Pegascape.

Booted into Hekate > selected sysMMC > booted Atmosphere > album > applet hbmenu
Selecting Fakenews-injector from here crashes Atmosphere and puts me back into Hekate. Other apps in hbmenu appear to load aside from Goldleaf which fatal errors and closes.

Just want to know if this is just something due to Atmosphere constantly updating and breaking old things.
And if all I can do is put it out of my mind and just deal with never powering off the console completely since I'd have to go through the internet test to get back into Pegascape otherwise.
