I want to implement a function, when I type in "testing" and I select it then click the link button, will show the pop up
But i don't know how to get the selected text and update it

You can always get selection from editorState.selection, you'll get the position of your selection and you can get nodes from it.

I tried the demo and if I use the link in the first row it stays there until I remove it starting from the second row
