The reality is I've not had time to do any work on this project for a while. It will get done eventually, but most likely when I actually have a need for it myself (and along with the AltBeacon migration), which could be any time in the next couple of months. If someone needs this now and makes the changes themselves, then please send us a push request, and I'll merge it into this version.

This would be really nice and since we are now on AltBeacon library we could make this working for Android also, but at the moment there is a really limited number of devices supporting it on Android. Have a closer look here. I'm working on a project to implement this feature for future work, so I could give this a try, but at the moment I haven't any device for testing from the list provided in the link.

I saw someone trying to merge into altbeacon library a while ago. I assume if its not in the altbeacon core another lib will be using it and should be easy to integrate.

I thought AltBeacon should work in the future, but problem are the limited number of devices out there at the moment. If I get one from the list of supported devices I will give this a try to get it implemented here.
