Display/screen lock up

I've been experiencing the display locking after repeatedly editing some graphics code in Thonney and running the code. I was just making many small changes to coordinates or similar. After a while the display stops working - sometimes blank and sometimes as it was when I started a rerun. The print to Shell keeps working but the screen stays fixed.
