[Bug] (On Firefox Restore Trees are flattened) #3693

Abstract

I had to reboot my Macbook after an update recently and upon re-launching Firefox with TST and all my tabs trees were flattened out. It did restore all my tabs just not in trees like I had them.

Steps to reproduce

  1. I don't know how to reproduce this issue as it's the first time it's happened to me and I have many bookmarks that I was researching with for work that were set under trees for organization by topics/subtopics.

As noted above, not sure how to reproduce but, my tabs should have been restored as:

A
\- 1 (collapsed)
\- 2 (collapsed)
\- 3 (collapsed)
\- 4 (collapsed)
B
\- 1 (collapsed)
\- 2 (collapsed)
\- 3 (collapsed)
\- 4 (collapsed)

But they were restored as:

Expected result

Trees should remain indented on restore.

I did pull up the /background/background.html info in the about:debugging window from where I ran this code provided in GH-3276

Actual result

Not sure how a screenshot would help here because the trees are just flattened.

  • Platform (OS): macOS Sequoia 15.2 arm64
  • Version of Firefox: 133.0.3
  • Version (or revision) of Tree Style Tab: 4.0.25

Same issue for me.
In the last days (maybe after an upgrade for TST?) my tab trees are flattened though main tab shows the usual 'v' button which still collapses the tree.

I had to comment out the following snippet in style sheet

:root.left tab-item-substance {
  margin-left: calc(var(--tab-margin-left) + var(--tab-indent) * 0.5);
}

to get back default indentation (which I was reducing through code above, taken from here).
