engine not working in multiplayer

The helicopter won't use fuel on servers. nothing gets the engine to run or the helicopter to move. the fire symbol won't even appear.
this is the furnace engine.
1.19.2
I checked key binds and fuel types.
It works in single-player just fine.
(update) It's the planes too.

Same problem here.
Edit: only happens when the default keybind is changed.
