not able to remove the monitor created #30
Comments
You can disable "IddSampleDriver Device" using device manager. |
@ge9, I similarly ended up with an extra monitor I can't remove. (Using your fork.) First, I somehow ended up with 3 total monitors (including the one physical, real monitor) and then even after disabling, I've still got 2. Removing the device doesn't help. Any ideas? |
I think my problem is somehow connected to this problem. |
I also have this issue, uninstalling does nothing, disabling still leaves the virtual monitor in your display settings although it shows as disconnected. I accidently installed it twice thinking my first uninstall worked, how do I delete one instance of it or both? |
I am also experiencing the same issue, anyone figured out a solution? I am also stuck with 3 virtual monitors I can't remove right now. |
Yeah same, had too many bugs. Is performance any better with dummy HDMI? |
Yes it's flawless. I chose one that was reflashable and I dumped the EDID of my television and flashed that on it. Now my PC thinks my actual TV is connected with the dummy plug, with all the correct refresh rates and resolutions |
Has anyone solved the problem of deleting the virtual display completely instead of disconnecting it? I've been unable to solve this problem for a long time. |
I just deleted the devices from device manager all together and used a tool to remove the driver from my PC. Ordered a dummy plug and never looked back. |
I switched to using parsec virtual display driver its not as versatile but better supported. The disabled drivers from this are still on my computer. |
Deleting the divice from device manager is not effective and a refresh will bring them back. What is the tool you used? Can it completely remove the driver from your PC and make the indirect monitors disappear in display setting? |
Oh, I managed to solve this problem. I've been trying to uninstall the monitor in the device manager. However, the IddSampleDriver in the 'display adapter' is the one that should be uninstalled. Once I uninstalled the driver, the monitor disappeared automatically. |
Reinstall windows works fine. This driver is a fraud |
I'm not able to unistall the virtual monitor i've created, i could only "disconnect the display" but i'd like to know the procedure to remove it completly
