In order to be able to copy on one computer and paste on another I have two computers in my home network set up to use ditto with the ditto database stored on a network drivel - both with r/w access.
This works great most of the time. However periodically, when one computer starts ditto's quick paste window is empty.
To correct, I just go into options - database path - and even thought the shared Ditto.db file is listed I have to click on the three dots '(...') beside it, and then reselect the database. After that I have access to the share database again.
Originally, because this does not always happen, I had thought maybe it was some sort of race condition between Ditto startup and the network drive being available with Windows start-up. However, disabled the Ditto auto-startup with Windows and enabled a task in the task scheduler to start Ditto a couple minutes after logon - which should I had thought been enough time if this was the problem.
However, this does not always help.
Ideally, ditto would reload from the database after startup if the quick paste window is otherwise empty.
