Normally, when you use the default camara configurations for the different use cases, you should be able to see the live stream while recording a video. However, if you have different configuration parameters for 'Video' than for 'Live View', for example use different Transform settings, then the camera cannot simultaneously work with both configurations. If multiple simultaneous requests are made, e.g. Video and Live Stream, raspiCamSrv analyzes the requested configurations and, if they are not compatible, uses the camera exclisively just for one of the requests. See also raspiCamSrv Tasks and Background Processes Can you please explain in more detail under which circumstances you observe this behavior? |

I need to ha a look. Sometimes there are errors in Picamera2 or libcamera processes which may cause such errors. What is your system configuration? |

I've tried all sorts of configurations for both Live and Video and I don't know how to get the Live to remain visible while recording, even when both configurations are exactly the same. Pi 4b. Also getting this error. I press record, it gives me an error "2024-05-27 05:39:50,081] ERROR in camera_pi: Thread 3732919360: Camera._videoThread - Exception: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get'", and kills the live feed and doesnt start recording. I can only start recording after the Live Feed goes blank and then it says that Live Config and Video Config are incompatable.

I've also been getting the following error. I press the record Video button and it throws up the error, the server believes that a video is recording when its not, and pressing Stop throws up a "Internal Server Error

Still getting random errors like
I may just have to find an alternative. I just can't get the Pi to work well plus the Camera Module itself just has very poor depth of field. I just want 1080p30fps with a live preview but it seems impossible. |

Under the service configuration, it says "Replace all (4) occurrences of 'user' with the user ID, specified during [System Setup]." I don't understand this, do I replace user with my registered SuperUser login to the server? The spots that say user are directory patherways like "/home/user/prg/raspi-cam-srv/.venv/bin/flask" so why would I want to put my registered ID there?
It doesn't let my view the Live stream when I press record. It says Video settings are incompatable with Live Stream configuration. Why?
Seems like half the time I press Stop Record, it throws up a Internal Server Error "either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application." Why?
Overall, excellent work though, been waiting for something like this. Just have found it somewhat inconsistent and want to know what Im doing wrong.
